Howard is facing about 2 shots per game more which is causing his GAA to be higher however Howards pts% is about 73% and his back-ups are about 53%. There was roughly the same different in pts % last year but Howard save % was significantly higher which explained the different.

So is it just too little playing time from his back-ups? Do the Wings play a more wide-open game (trading chances and scoring more) with Howard in net?

Do you have a resource that gives a goalies goal support and/or shots for support?Agent Orangehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11969608025201544178noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8148461224473220694.post-84421073282834605292011-01-30T23:04:45.268-05:002011-01-30T23:04:45.268-05:00Well well, what do you know. Midway through the season, Howard has a .906 save percentange and 2.81 GAA, which are near the bottom of the league.

Heh, I'm really starting to see the strength of some of these statistical analyses.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12302018673315520986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8148461224473220694.post-44670582689835872212010-10-01T19:09:57.388-04:002010-10-01T19:09:57.388-04:00Anon1

Bettman bought your sorry team so don't talk about favorites. especially when Malkin wasn't given a game suspension after instigating a fight in the playoff finals against the wings. if anything is cheap it is how you praised doan. His extremely cheap attempt to draw an interference call on Shane Doan in the playoffs doomed the Coyotes and came fairly close to ending Doan's career. But when you wear the winged wheel or the bird with a hockey stick, Gary Bettman doesn't care about disciplining you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
